He married Ol Aug 1881 Mary Ann Tompkins (15336.5734) . She was born (24 Aug 1859?) 31 March 1859. Resided Grenville, Quebec; Lake and Wexford counties, MI. There are reported 7 children, but we have info on only two. Robert Allen died 03 May 1912 Cadillac, Wexford county, MI. Mary Ann married (2)  09 March 1912 Dan Scarborough. ( this works if divorced before his death as Loring Bigelow pointed out- Loring has still got it, even though he denies it..rod) She died 31 March 1937 at Cadillac, MI. One source calls her Mary Ann Gowanlock ??. also Mary Gunloch

          Robert's father was Elijah Bigelow 1830- 1912 He married Arilla 
Smith   

          His Father was Ebenezer Bigelow 1800 and he married Ellen Blair 
and   thats   all we know as of now but we have lots of Bigelows in 

          Owosso,MI

         BIGELOW, Robert Lionel. Suddenly on Thursday, February 27th,
  2003   at the CH-CHSLD de Papineau in Buckingham, Quebec at the age of
76   years.   Son of the late Robert Allan Bigelow and the late Louise Malish.
  Beloved  husband of Jeanne Bigelow (nee Boucher). Loving father of Robert
  Allan Bigelow.  Dear brother of Sadie (Nonnan Carson) and Louise Bigelow
 (Yvonne Giroux).  Friends may call at the Cadieux Funeral Home, "Villeneuve
 Chapel," 322 Principale   Street, Buckingham, Quebec, on Monday from 2 to
 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and   after 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Funeral service will
 be held on Tuesday, March 4th,  2003 at 11 a.m. at St-Stephen's Anglican

   Elmer (Pat) Bigelow, son of Robert and Mary (Gunloch) Bigelow, 
   was born 29 June 1897 at Hockseyville, MI.  He died 03 June 1957 at
  Pleasant View in Corunna, MI and was buried 05 June 1957 at Hill Crest Cemetery. 
   He was a foundry worker and went to the 4th grade in Cadillac, MI. 
  He married Lila Bell Sibary, daughter of Joseph and Margie (Smith?) Sibary.  She was born 14 
   March 1900 at Luther, MI and died 12 July 1971 at Owosso, MI and buried 
 14  July 1971 in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI.  She went to
 the  8th grade at Luther school.  They were parents of 13 children.  
   Only Leonard Jay, Clifford, Orville and Cora Jeanette lived to maturity 
 and  had children.  Elmer Dale died at age 50 and had no children.

in Cadillac, Wexford    co, MI. Cecil married second Leonard C. Madson on
06 December 1963. Cecil    married third Michael Volrich on 17 July 1987
shortly before her death on   08 November 1987 in Detroit, MI. Both Cecil

CADILLAC — Mrs. Cecil Volrich of Sterling Heights, formerly of Cadillac,
died Sunday Nov. 8, 1987 at Harper Hospital in Detroit. She was 70.

     Mrs. Volrich was born August 24, 1917 in Cadillac.
She married Harold Blackmer Oct. 1934 in Cadillac. He preceded her in death.
She then married Michael Volrich, July 18, 1987 in Sterling Heights.

     Mrs. Volrich attended school in Cadillac and graduated
from practical nursing school at Mercy Hospital in 1957. She was employed
at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac and West Shore Hospital in Manistee. She was
a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Cadillac and a member of the Eastern
Star of Manistee.

     Survivors include her husband Michael; her children
Mildred Arrison of Decatur, 111., Donna Peterson of Cadillac and Robert and
Diane Blackmer of Grand Rapids; a brother, Donald Bigelow of Cadillac; a
half-brother" James Edgecomb; a sister, Evelyn Padbury of Cadillac; a half-sister,
Etta Erdman of Greenville and nine grandchildren.

     Mrs. Volrich was preceded in death by her brothers
Robert and Lawrence Bigelow, a sister Ruth Brehm and a half-brother Dale
Edgecomb.

     Memorial services are 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Church
of the Nazarene in Cadillac, Pastor Chester L. Webster officiating. Burial
will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Peterson Funeral
Home. Memorial tributes may be made to the Michigan Heart Association. Envelopes
are available at the funeral home.

 Carl 'Curt' Nelson

 MANTON - Carl “Curt” Nelson of Manton died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006
after a short illness at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was 66. He was born on March 22, 1940 in Chicago to Carl and Elsie 
(Norman) Nelson. He married Linda Bigelow on Dec. 24, 1965 in Manton. Mr. Nelson grew up in Manton and attended Manton schools. 
He worked at AAR in Cadillac for 25 years, retiring in 2003. He was a hobby farmer and loved tractors. He enjoyed helping 
people, snowmobiling, the Buckley Old Engine Show and car shows. He most loved
spending time with his family, friends and his grandchildren and dearly loved
the Bigelow family.Survivors include his wife,
Linda; children, Douglas (Lelia), Kristina (George) Raymer and Margaret Sherman
(John Garn), all of Manton; former son-in-law, Dwain “Less” Sherman of Cadillac;
brother, Kenneth (Anne) Nelson of Zephyrhills, Fla.; special friends, Ed
and Irene Whaley of Sanford; special nephew, Erick Nelson of Manton; and
10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his parents.
