Cornelius 4 BIGELOW

1533    Cornelius 4 BIGELOW , son of Samuel 3 ( Samuel 2, John 1), and Ruth (WARREN) BIGELOW, was born 24 Nov 1710 in Marlborough, Middlesex co, MA. He was married there 28 Dec 1731 to Mary GRAVES (Greaves), daughter of John and Sarah (LOKER) GREAVES of Sudbury. Mary was born at Sudbury 18 July 1714. They resided a few years in Marlborough, then moved to Westborough, Worcester county, where their six youngest children were born. Cornelius served in the militia and was sergeant in the French-and-Indian War (also known as the Seven Years' War).       He served as constable (tax-collector) in 1767, after which the town records do not mention Cornelius or his wife. We have no dates of death, but neither appears as head-of-family in the 1790 census.
