Levi ⁸ BIGELOW

15336.528 Levi ⁸ BIGELOW, son of Adam Chester ⁷ ( Cornelius ⁶ , Paul ⁵, Cornelius ⁴, Samuel ³, Samuel ², John¹) and Laurene (SMITH ) BIGELOW, was born at Buckingham township, Papineau, Quebec on 04 December 1834 (or 1835). He was married on 11 September 1854 to his cousin Elizabeth Bigelow (15336.544). Howe gives her birthdate as 20 April 1833 at Chatham township, Argenteuil, Quebec. She was "age 25 next birthday" on 1861 census and 36 on 1871 census. This family lived in Buckingham until after the birth of their two oldest children and then moved to Pine Hill and settled near Levi's brother, Mills, for a short time. About 1866, they returned to Buckingham township and settled at Glen Almond where Levi remained for the rest of his life. He died there on 25 March 1916. He had been a farmer and logger. Elizabeth died there on 08 April 1918. Both are buried at St. John's, Glen Almond, Papineau, Quebec.
