He was married on 08 August 1893 Margaret Lucinda Bigelow (15336.5289). She was the daughter of Cornelius and Jane Persis Bigelow. Sylvester was a prospector, lumberman and farmer around Quebec. He died 22 July 1945 Grenville, Argenteuil, Quebec.

He married 08 July 1929 Alice Edna Dowd in Lachute, Que, the daughter of Lemuel and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Dowd. Alice was born 17 February 1905. She was a diminutive person, standing under five feet in height, and her children have commented on how small a woman could accomplish so much. She died 09 January 1973 at Lachute, Argenteuil co, PQCA. Robert was in a nursing home in poor health at St. Philippe, PQCA in 1980. He died 24 February 1983.

        Hi, I am Karen (Graves) Robertson, the Daughter of Kathleen May (Bigelow ) Graves and Morris Graves. I really enjoy the Bigelow site. My Mother asked me to give you some information. You have some information missing on Sylvester 9 Bigelow son of (Levi, Adam "Chester", Cornelius, Paul, Cornelius, Samuel, Samuel, John) and Margaret Lucinda Bigelow.
        Sylvester "Mark" Bigelow is what my Mother says is his middle name. I read that my mother was adopted in your records, so I talked to her. Kathleen May (Bigelow) Graves Daughter of Caroline Victoria (Bigelow) Payton Bigelow Bigelow and James Steven 10 Bigelow was their natural child not adopted as your records states.
        James Steven 10 Bigelow Died April 29 1974 and was buried in Calumet cemetery, Quebec. Check the dates you have for death and buried.
        Sylvester's son Edric"Fred" was born 1894 and married 1917 to Anne Dode and she died 1942. They had four children. Percy who died in war
overseas in Japan. Roy, Kenneth and thier first child a Daughter whom died very young.
        I would like to know how to get a password to use the Bigelow sight for members as my Mother is a member, and I am researching for her. Also do you have any information on Mary Graves's father and mother and siblings. Mary Graves was married to  Cornelius the 4 (Samuel, Samuel, John Biglo). My Dad is a Graves and his great grand father was John Graves. Also my mother is looking for information about the Newton's, we traced Elisha Newton to David Newton to Caleb Newton, could you tell my anything more.
        I am interested in Health and hereditary disease.  I would be very interested if any Bigelow's have Celiac Disease, which is intolerance to gluten. Gluten is a component of wheat.  I have been very ill for the last eight years and  now I believe I found part of the problem. The medical test I had have  not come back yet, and some of the tests I would like to avoid, so if some one else was tested, I would love to avoid more tests.   This mostly affects Caucasians of European descent.  If you are interested check out the web for Celiac.  The Americans have good information.
