Levi 6 BIGELOW

 16251.A     Levi 6  BIGELOW, son of  James 5 ( James 4 , Jonathan 3 , Joshua 2, John 1), and Mary (SAWYER) BIGELOW, was born 02 January 1782 at Templeton, Worcester county, MA. The family shortly moved to Somerset county, ME. There, on 08 October 1812 Levi married Sally Emery, daughter of Levi and Mindwell (Ireland) Emery. They lived at Bloomfield, ME, where he died 02 July 1868 aged 86 yrs, and she on (18)13 March l886 aged 92 yrs 11 m 13 d. (stone above) (see below)

16251.A3      Eunice, b 1 Mar 1820; d 5 Jan 1884 Skowhegan, ME; married James B. Dascomb; 2 children.

16251.A4t     Levi K., b 16 Sep 1822; d ____ ; m ca 1848 Marcia Steward; res Bloomfield, ME. 2 children.

16251.A5t     Charlotte E., b 23 Dec 1824; d 01 Aug 1903 ; m Deacon Joseph Robinson. 2 children. (see below)

16251.A6t     Charles F., b 27 June 1829; d 31 Oct 1853 (24 yrs, 4 mos, 4 ds) ; m Abigail Weston. 1 child.

16251.A7   Frances Wyman, b 7 Nov 1833; d ____ ; m 8 June 1856 Joseph Claradon Flagg, son of Joseph and Olivia (Milliken) Flagg. He was born 15 June 1832 Grafton, MA; res Grafton to 1859, then to Athens, ME 4 yrs; 1865 to Abington, MA to carry on his mother's farm; 1868, after the sale of the farm, next twelve yrs in ME and MA; l880-1885 in CA lumbering. 1889 retired to Halifax, ME. Both living 1903. No issue.

Rod,  I was going through some old papers that had accumulated in my truck and found a slip of paper from a day when my wife and I had gone to my fathers grave in Skowhegan.  We came across a few gravestones with "Bigelow" on them and wrote them down, knowing that my family had come from that area.  We figured someday we would be able to work them into my genealogy. Some of them were in the line you sent me.  Some I have no idea.  I am sending them to you and maybe they will make some sense to you.

We plan on going back to Skowhegan and checking out some of these and looking for others. We really didn't have much time that day so we didn't get to look over the whole cemetary or write down some of the dates.  I will let you know when we find any more.   Dick

We were up in the South Side Cemertery Skowhegan doing some looking and came across the following
