# 1625. James 4 son of Jonathan 3 (Joshua
2, John1) and Elizabeth
(BEMIS) BIGELOW, was born 17 May 1722 at Weston, Middlesex, MA. We
find but little about his life, but find he had one child recorded in Worcester,
and the Skowhegan, ME Bigelows, said their grandfather James jr. was born
in "Westtown," which we take to be Weston; this James we assume to be James
of Templeton, MA. Both his sons were raised by other families, from which
we infer either the death or disappearance of James sr. in late 1740's.
From the birth of the child born at Worcester, we learn that his wife was Sarah ___ . Nothing more is learned of her.
