He was married 11 August 1934 to Beatrice Ida Barbara Gareau. She was born 1906, the dau of Amede and Ida (Antoine) Gareau. They resided in Muskegon, MI. Ford died 1990 (headstone). Beatrice had died in 1987.

Obituary of Donald Ernest Bigelow:
Cadillac -- Donald Bigelow of Hoxeyville, died at his home Sunday afternoon, Oct. 18, 1987 after a two-year illness. He was 49.
     Born in Newberry Oct. 16, 1938, he married Beverly Sue Howard March 28, 1986 in Cadillac.
     Mr. Bigelow attended schools in Newberry and Muskegon Heights, where he graduated from high school. He last worked as a grinder for Northwood Manufacturing and Heat Treating of Cadillac for 18 years before retiring due to illness.
     He attended the Church of God in Cadillac. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and reading.
     Survivors include his wife Beverly; four children, Donald K. Bigelow and his wife Pamela of Muskegon Heights, Kim K. Bigelow of Muskegon; Tangi D. (Mrs. James) Morehouse of Whitehall and Craig S. Bigelow of Muskegon. Four stepchildren............
     He is also survived by his father, Ford A. Bigelow of Muskegon; three sisters, Sondra B. Bigelow of Muskegon, Darlene A. Bigelow of Muskegon and Linda L. (Mrs. Brad) Slater of Muskegon; a brother, Ford A. Bigelow, Jr. and his wife Cherl of Muskegon; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice................................
