James William 8 BIGELOW

1592C.321      James William 8  BIGELOW, son of William Johnston 7 ( Daniel 6 , Amasa 5 , Isaac 4, Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John1)  and  Sara (WHITMAN) BIGELOW, was born at Cape Canso, NS on 02 October 1834 and on 20 October 1857 married Sarah Ann Payzant who was daughter of James and Lois (Nichols) Payzant.  She was born on 21 February 1833 at Wolfville, NS.  James and Sarah resided in Wolfville and James died there 21 June 1917 and Sarah's death date is unknown.

1592C.3212t    Lois Emma, b 06 July 1860 (1862?) Cape Canso; m 1880 David Graham Whidden; res. Antigonish, NS; 10 children.

1592C.3213t    Leah Parmelia, b 20 July 1863 Cape Canso; m 08 Oct 1884 Charles Edgar Whidden; 9 children; res. Antigonish.

1592C.3214     Ulysses Grant, b 12 June 1869 Cape Canso; d 26 Oct 1903; m __ Louise Cowan

1592C.3215     Horace Howe, b __ 1873 Wolfville, NS; d __ 1911.

1592C.3216     Ambrose, b 22 Sept 1876 Wolfville; d 27 Sept 1876.

Note:
1592C.3211    James Payzant Bigelow was married twice: (1) 21 Nov 1894 Annie A. Bishop (1862-1906); (2) _ ? date Gertrude Publicover (1858-1912); no children from either marriage. Resided Northwest Canada in 1888.  Kings Co. Hist. Soc. shows James Payzant Bigelow as being born 13 Aug 1858.  James Payzant Bigelow worked in the Northwest Territories; (Kings Co. Hist. Soc. 2/22/1997 NS.)
