Very nice sites. One site states,
of the family photo of Wesley Bigelow(8),Ralph Ezra Bigelow/Eva Maxwell,
Ralph Herbert Bigelow/Helen May Russell, Ralph Howard Bigelow. I saw in the
site Ralph Ezra(Evans)? It was Ezra, while he was on the Ticonderoga as
chief engineer, his wife Eva was the ships cook, my father and uncles also
worked as on it as well, although I only made a few trips on it before it
was put in the museum at Shelburne, VT it was truely great fun. I was also
at the family farm in Keeseville,NY (see
below). I can help with the daughters of Ralph Ezra as far as thier
married names please contact me.

Hi Mr. Bigelow!
I am great-grandaughter of Wesley, and have in my possession his family
Bible, several photo albums (Roy was an excellent amateur photographer),
Martha Ellen Andrews scrap book, and several pieces of needlework done
by various family members. Can send information to fill in the blanks
on this page and add several more generations if you would like me to do
so. Also could scan photos if desired. My mother - now 88 years
old, but with excellent memory, remembers both Wesley and Martha Ellen.
I, myself, remember most of the children. My Aunt Maude (Julia Maude)
kept entries in family Bible up to date as long as she lived.
Thanks for providing this excellent web site!

Correspondence Schuyler Falls Historical Society which includes following:
..... The family farm of 200 acres near Keeseville overlooked Lake
Champlain. It was cut from the wilderness in 1774 by a Mr. Whitney,
who either married a Bigelow girl or was a relative of some sort and
sold to Wesley Bigelow when he was discharged from Union Army 8 Aug 1864
or 1865. The farm had been in the family for over 100 years when sold in
summer of 1967.

My name is Channing Mould and my family had lived in the Keeseville NY area
since the late 18th century until the early 20th. I was looking for
information on the Grand Army of the Republic to try and date a photo I have
and did a Yahoo search for "Post 484 GAR". The only hit for that search was
for your web page http://bigelowsociety.com/rod/wesley8.htm. I looked at the
family picture and realized that Wesley was in my photograph, a scan of which I
have attached.
I believe Wesley is standing second from the left. The gentleman standing first
on the left is my great great grandfather - Henry M. Mould 2LT Company K 118th
New York Voluteers. The woman sitting behind my gg grandfather looks a little
like Martha Bigelow.
Anyway I thought you might like the scan.
Cheers,Chan
