 Let me start by telling you my name is Cherri Lynn Stocking Timmer,  I have been searching my family history on the Stocking side for quite some time now.  I have had my fathers side of the Genealogy for awhile now.  My fathers line stems from the Jared (as listed at this site as Jerrod)  I have done a lot of research on this family, I have many interesting stories I have obtained on them and I am also
 in the progress of putting together a story on this family in the Antrim Historical Society in Antrim Michigan.   In  Elk Rapids, Michigan this family was among some of the first settlers in this region.  The Name of Jared Stocking had been misspelled even in the Stocking Ancestry.  I have follow his whereabouts in various places in Michigan.  In most places where  he resided, he  is referred to mainly as Jared Stocking.  Now as to the Son of Jared Stocking and Lucy Bigelow, Listed as Perry his correct name is Oliver Perry and went by his middle name,  I have numerous historical stories on my Great Grandfather,  Oliver Perry Stocking was married to Laura Ann Kimball in Elk Rapids Michigan on 4 August 1857 Meguzee (Elk Rapids) Michigan.  They had a son by the name of Richard Clark Stocking married Margerie May Rank whom are my Grandparents,  They married on 29 May 1926 Elk Rapids, Michigan.  They had a son whom is my father Richard Clark Stocking Jr. whom married my Mother Connie Lou Cole in 1958 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  There was three children born from this union;
 Cherri Lynn Stocking born  28 Mar 1959 Lansing, Michigan
 Richard Clark Stocking III  31 May 1960 Lansing, Michigan
 Kimberly Ann Stocking      12 Dec 1961 Lansing, Michigan

 Now let me explain the reason I am writing you not only to give you correct information regarding Lucy Bigelow and Jared Stocking's family and my connection to the Bigelow line from my fathers side.  I have presently learned searching my Mothers side of the family I have a Second Bigelow connection, and I thought this to be very interesting to the Bigelow Society.  So let me begin with my Lucy side first because this is where my second line connects to my mothers side.  My Mother and Father were not aware of this family connection when they married and my father is no longer living and my Mother was in shock when I told her what I have learned searching her side of the family history.  But I have found this both amusing and most interesting.
 Fathers side (Richard Clark Stocking Jr.  Side)
15198.11    Lucy 7 BIGELOW, dau of Abel 6 ( Josiah 5 , Jotham 4, John 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Sarah (CLARK) BIGELOW, was born 04 February 1804 at Manlius, Onondaga, NY. Which John (1) whom married Mary Warren is also of importance.

Mothers side (Connie Lou Cole's Side)
16354.      Sarah 5 BIGELOW, fourth child and second daughter of Asa 4 (Lieutenant John 3  ,Joshua2, John1) and Dorothy (OTIS) BIGELOW, was born at Colchester, New London co, CT on 13 Nov 1744. She married (1)19 Nov 1761 Elias Ransom, son of Jarnes and Sarah (Treadway) Ransom. He was born 17 Feb 1730 at Colchester. They lived in Colchester a few years, then moved to Great Barrington. He died, leaving 8 children, and Sarah married (2) 28 Apr 1774 Ichabod Hopkins, son of Timothy and Jemima (Scovill) Hopkins. He was born 7 Dec 1744 probably at Waterbury, CT, and died 20 Oct 1819 at Great Barrington. After his death, Sarah acted as a midwife for many years and assisted at the birth of more than 150 infants, usually travelling on horseback, and many times having to ford the Housatonic River. In her late years she moved to the vicinity of Buffalo, and died 10 Aug 1831 at Amherst, Erie county, NY.
 Her first three children were born at Colchester, the rest at Great Barrington. By her first husband, Elias Ransom:

16354.8        Louisa, b 10 July 1772; d ____ ; m 21 Jan 1796 Andrew Hollenbeck Had a daughter Fidelia Hollenbeck DOB 1810 Great Barrington, Berkshire, Massachusetts married George F. Bunce; had a son Arnold T. Bunce 16 Sep 1851 Egremont, Berkshire Co. Massachusetts DOD 1905 Azalia , Michigan Married Adeline Thompson

 Kimberly Ann Stocking      12 Dec 1961 Lansing, Michigan

 So TWO sons of  John Bigelow and Mary Warren are in my line and TWO Daughters of the Thomas Flagg and  Mary Gershom are in my line.
 So on my Father's side Samuel and Mary Flagg are my 7th Great Grandparents
 on my Mother's Side Joshua and Elizabeth Flagg are my are my 9th Great Grandparents

 I just wanted to make the Bigelow Family aware of this Lineage and how it connects to the other,
Sincerely,
 Cherri Lynn Stocking Timmer and proud of all my family lineage and this unusual and remarkable connection I am sure will be of much amusement and discussion in my family.
