Clarinda (WILTSE) BIGELOW, was born at Ashford, Cattaraugus
co, NY on 12 January 1850. His parents moved the family to Oneida township,
Eaton co, MI when Elisha was about 4 years of age and there he later married
Sarah M. Brunger on 21 November 1873. She was the daughter of Joseph and
Maria (Graham) Brunger and bom at Oneida on 27 September 1858. She died
on 16 October 1888. Eaton county death records reveal that she and three
of their children all died within a few weeks of each other of 'gastric
enteritis'. Elisha married again on 17 December 1891 Mrs. Tillie (Sayder)
Foster who was the daughter of John Sayder. Tillie was 29 years of age
at this marriage and it was near that date that Elisiha decided to enter
the ministry embracing the Free Methodist denomination. He had many ministries
over the rest of his life. His second wife died after 'twenty-eight years
of marriage' and he married for the third time on 01 September 1920 in
Chippewa county, MI. This wife was Mrs. Jennie (Wright) Fletcher and was
the daughter of Henry and Rebecca (___ ) Wright. Elisha died on 06 June
1928 at McCarron, Chippewa co, MI and is buried at Donaldson cemetery,
Bruce township as is Jennie who died about 1955.
