Silas 7 BIGELOW

15321.57    Silas 7 BIGELOW, son of Humphrey 6 ( Samuel 5 , Samuel 4, Samuel 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and his second wife Hannah (WHIPPLE) BIGELOW, was born at Charlton, MA 10 August 1801. He married on 20 November 1823 at Sutton, MA Silence Pierce. She was born 06 February 1803. The daughter of Amos and Anna (Hicks) Pierce of Sutton. They resided in Sutton and Northbridge, MA. He died at Worcester, Worcester MA October 12 1883 and she there 15 August 1886. He went to Sutton before he was married and carried on a boot and shoe manufacturing business in addition to conducting his farm. He removed to Worcester in 1847, and continued in the shoe manufacturing business there until 1860.

15321.579     James Whipple, b 08 Sept 1839; d 30 Nov 1901 ; m 24 Nov 1877 widow of his brother,(Lieut. Luther H. Bigelow) C. Helen (Lovell) Bigelow (she d 09 Dec 1882); he was a partner of Walker Armington in the grocery business at Worcester; no children.
