He married Valerie Adams on 29 July 1972. She was the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adams, Lansdowne, NS. (Frederick also known as Lic Fred
Bigelow, and was an interim-pastor of the Smith's Cove United Baptist Church
until May 1982)
