She married 23 March 1932 George Alexander Welburn and had 8 children. George was born 28 March 1907 in Namur, Papineau, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Thomas and Nellie (Leggett) Welburn. George died 10 August 1980 at the age of 73 in Hawkesbury, Prescott and Russell, Ontario, Canada. He was buried in Glen Almond, Outaouais, Quebec, Canada. Myrtle remarried Werner Otto Schroeder. Werner Otto Schroeder was born on 04 January 1932 in Germany. He died 10 April 2012 at the age of 80 in Shawville, Pontiac, Quebec, Canada. Myrtle died 03 May 2012 Shawville, Pontiac, Que, age 95.

15336.528896     Ronald Welburn, b 07 June 1946; d 10 July 2015 in Shawville, QC at the age of 69; he was cremated and buried in Glen Almond, QC on July 30, 2015. He was married to Helen Ladouceur, daughter of Thomas Ladouceur and Inez Mousseau; they had no children together. Helen also passed away in Shawville, QC sometime in Aug 2015;

     I have some information to contribute to your Bigelow Society site.  My link to the Bigelow family tree is through my great grandmother, Myrtle Geraldine Bigelow (daughter of Adam John and Sarah Jane Bigelow).  As it currently stands, Myrtle Bigelow's descendants follow as such: 8 children, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren
     I've attached a document I prepared, listing all of Myrtle's descendants (the document lists just names for living individuals). Here's an excerpt of the document:

     Myrtle Geraldine Bigelow, daughter of Adam Bigelow and Sarah Bigelow, was born on November 27, 1916 in Buckingham, Outaouais, Quebec, Canada. Myrtle Bigelow remarried Werner Schroeder. Werner Otto Schroeder was born on January 4, 1932 in Germany. He died on April 10, 2012 at the age of 80 in Shawville, Pontiac, Quebec, Canada.
 George Welburn died from a heart attack.
     On your site, you had listed Myrtle's birthplace being in Glen Almond, but her obituary (http://www.hayesfuneralhome.ca/memsol.cgi?user_id=628484) listed her birthplace being Buckingham. I was curious as to what your source was, as I don't trust obituaries; another obituary had mistakenly listed Myrtle's first husband as a Thomas Welburn instead of George Welburn. I've also attached some pictures to contribute to your site. Here is some information concerning the photos I've attached:
  1. The picture of George Welburn and Myrtle Bigelow is dated c. 1940. This picture was given to me from Liza Gervais (her grandmother was George's sister, Kate Welburn).
  2. A picture of Myrtle Bigelow, taken during her 95th birthday.
  3. A picture of Myrtle's second husband, Werner Schroeder.
  4. A picture of Myrtle's older brother Harvey Bigelow, with his nephew, Lawrence Welburn. This picture was given to me from Denny Welburn.
  5. A picture of Lawrence Welburn (given to me from Denny Welburn again).
  6. A picture of Olive Welburn, taken during Myrtle's 95th birthday.
     I also have some additional information concerning Myrtle's daughter, Rachel Welburn. This is testimony from her sister, Grendalene Welburn (we call her Aunt Gweny). Rachel Welburn married a German man. Aunt Gweny couldn't recall his first name, but his last name was something along the lines of Eastman? (I know for sure I have spelt it wrong)(see below). Rachel had two daughters, and they were all killed by her husband at their home (in Germany) in 1964 in Germany; Rachel was about 24 years-old, her daughters were about 5 and 3 years-old respectively. Rachel was buried in France, and the airline donated flights for George Welburn and Myrtle Bigelow so they could attend their daughter's burial.

In my previous E-mail, I mentioned that Myrtle's daughter Rachel had two daughters. I finally found their graves and can properly name her children, as well as give both their date of births and deaths.

Turns out her husband's surname wasn't Eastman (as I had assumed), but actually Ziesman. Also, Rachel's name is apparently spelt Rachael according to her tombstone.
Here are the names and dates I acquired.
RACHAEL VIOLA WELBURN:
DOB: January 9, 1942 in Quebec, Canada
DOD: September 16, 1965 in Germany

I have some more additional information concerning my great grandmother, Myrtle Geraldine Bigelow, as well as some of her children who are now deceased.
Originally, I mentioned that Myrtle and her husband George Welburn were married sometime around 1935, which I based on the years of their first child.  I recently obtained a copy of George's obituary, which states that they were married on March 23, 1932 in Buckingham, QC (more than likely at the St-Stephen's church).

Their son, Lawrence Welburn, was born on December 25, 1935, and he died on August 10, 2011 in Ottawa, ON, aged 75 years. He was later buried in Glen Almond, QC. Lawrence was unmarried and had no children.

Their son, Ronald Welburn, was born on June 7, 1946, and he died on July 10, 2015 in Shawville, QC at the age of 69; he was cremated and buried in Glen Almond, QC on July 30, 2015. He was married to Helen Ladouceur, daughter of Thomas Ladouceur and Inez Mousseau; they had no children together. Helen also passed away in Shawville, QC sometime in August 2015.

Their son, Nathan Welburn, married Theresa Salm on July 1, 1967; they had no children together. Theresa was born on April 7, 1940, and she died on December 4, 2016 in Gatineau, QC, aged 76 years. She was later buried in Glen Almond, QC.

Their daughter, Olive Vivian Welburn, was born on June 5, 1948, and she died on December 22, 2011 at the age of 63. She was later buried in Farellton, QC on June 23, 2012. Olive was first married to Desmond Monks, son of William Monks and Violet Platt, and they had 2 daughters together. I have no information on Desmond, except that he predeceased Olive and was buried in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Olive would later on marry her second husband, George Rocke.

I've also attached pictures of tombstones from the cemetery in Glen Almond concerning some of the individuals listed above, which you are more than free to post on your website.
