BIGELOW, son of James
Edward 9 ( James 8 , James 7 , James 6 , James 5 , James 4 , Jonathan 3, Joshua 2, John 1), and Anna
(TAPIN) BIGELOW, was born on 21 July 1892 in Wisconsin. In
about 1915 or 1916 he married Aurelia Mary Longrie. She was born 02
October 1899 in Koss, Menominee County, MI, the dau of Peter Anton
and Virginia (Delain) Longrie. She was raised in the Oconto/Lena,
and Marinette area of Wisconsin. Aurelia died 22 Aug 1959 East
Kingsford, Dickinson County, MI, and Harry died there 27 Jan 1978.

Calvin Paul, served in the Military. He was a First Lieutenant in
the US Army in WWII. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge and
was awarded a Bronze Star. Later, he was a machinist at
Kearny-Trucker.

Kingsford Donald Bigelow (March 12, 1926 - June 25, 2004) Kingsford
was born in Breitung Township (East Kingsford), MI and graduated
form Kingsford High School. He served in the US Navy 2943-1947 (Five
Campaigns - Tarwa - Iwo Jim - Okinawa) and US Army 1952-1958 (Three
years in Germany and three years at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.)
Kingsford married Mary Ann Markey in 1956 at Ft. Leonard Wood while
serving as a Chief Warrant Officer. He lived in Milwaukee and
Greenfield from 1958 until the time of his death. Mary Ann Markey
died shortly before Kingford; together they had three sons and three
daughters.

(March 31, 1928 - February 14, 2012)
Footland, Myrtle I. (Nee Bigelow) Age 83, of Hartford, passed away
on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at the Hartford Care Center. Myrtle
was born March 31, 1928, to Harry and Aurelia Bigelow in Iron
Mountain, Michigan. She was united in marriage to Reidar Footland on
December 25, 1947 . Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband
Reidar. Memorial gathering Monday, February 20, 2012, from 5 to 7 PM
at the Shimon Funeral Home.

Harry Theodore "Ted", b 01 Aug 1932; d 15 Feb 2000 (aged 67);Served
in the US Coast Guard; Married Helen Corey and had four children;
Worked at VA Hospital in Iron Mountain. After retiring lived in
Arizona and Utah. Ted was cremated and his ashes are buried in the
Bigelow family plot.

Bigelow, Sr., 112 Elizabeth Street have 3 sons serving in the
United States Armed Forces: Lyle, enlisted in March 1942 & is
a Corporal with a Bombardment Squadron in Sicily; Seaman 1C
Kingsford has been in the service since April & overseas since
August, stationed in New Zealand & Lieutenant Calvin enlisted
in 1941 & is stationed at Camp Picket, VA.
