I have traced another Streeter line that was also in 1825 Lower Canada census, Benjamin Streeter, who later moved on to Ft Covington.  His descendants are well documented as well his ancestry.  My suspicion is that William and William Jr share ancestry with Benjamin, perhaps several generations back.  Quite a few Streeter's settled in Vermont and many moved into Lower Canada (Eastern Townships) with some staying for generations and some moving back later.
I was wondering if any new research has come out about Cornelius or Nancy.
My interest is in Streeter's that lived in Michigan as my mother, Lila Streeter, was born in Rockford, MI.  My 2nd great grandfather arrived in the Cedar Springs area about 1852-53.  So I have been slowly compiling a Streeter's of Michigan file (any ancestry) with the goal of eventually putting it on line.   <>My wife's ancestor arrived from Canada in the 1880's settling first in Deckerville area before heading on to Gladwin.  So I know a fair amount the migration paths to Michigan from Canada as I have traced her ancestries back to the 1700's - mostly from the US.

Rod,
I came across your web while looking for information on the Streeters. I have Streeters on my mom (Solomon Streeter) and dads (Alfred Streeter)
side all living in the St. Clair area.  There are 4 different groups in St. Clair (Fanny Streeter Fuller and William=Lydia) and they should be related, we just can't prove it.  I am in search of resources that can help me gather information on their movement.  Our library has nothing on Chatham and I noticed some people even say Chatham , Ontario.  I think William and Lydia Dagott Streeter may be the missing link that can tie everything together.
thank You ,
Pamela Williston
