Rolla Lavante 9 BIGELOW

15197.5A13    Rolla Lavante 9 BIGELOW, son of Rolla P. 8 ( Horace 7 , William 6 , Joel 5 , Jotham 4, John 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Lydia (POTTER) BIGELOW, was born at Corunna, Shiawassee, MI on 19 June 1878.  He married on his 38th birthday, 19 June 1916 Doris Sanford, she appears to have been married previously to ____ Bissell. (Son, Robert wrote that his Dad was a company commander in the New York National Guard (12th Regiment). At the reception he received a telegram: "Congratulations on your marriage. The regiment has been activated. Report to the armory at 8:00 PM tonight." And a week later he led his company down Broadway on the way to the Mexican Border to serve with Pershing. They never had a honeymoon.) Doris was born 20 September 1889 and died 21 February 1984 at Winchester, MA. Rolla had died earlier 15 December 1952 Winter Park, FL.
