Note 2022:
I have been trying to figure why I had an error message concerning
the marriage of James Clinton Bigelow and Rose Haufer. The Bigelow
site shows it as 1911 in New York. That means Rose was 13,
because her birth has been confirmed as December 1898, in New
York.
In confirming James' birth, in the N.S. Archives registry of
births, I found his registration. It was a delayed
Registration, because there was no surviving document from
1892. In January 1976, James swore an oath that he was born
in 1892, and where, and produced the family Bible as proof.
On that document, his marriage was reported as 7 Feb 1923, at the
Baptist parsonage in Windsor, NS. m in error 13 September
1911
Don't know how 1911 got in there, but it is not right. And
Rose was not 13. She was 25.
