William Henry ⁸ BIGELOW

1592C.523 William Henry ⁸ BIGELOW, son of Isaac Gideon ⁷(Gideon ⁶ , Amasa ⁵, Isaac ⁴, Isaac ³, Samuel ², John¹) and Eliza ( HUNT) BIGELOW, was born at Shelby, Richland co., OH on 26 April 1856. In 1870 census, in Richland co., OH, he was age 13 and in the household of George Turnbleson. We have no data on his first marriage, but he had one son by this wife. His second marriage was on 30 November 1899 in Monona co., IA to Nellie Bird Kiersey. She was the daughter of James and Mary Jane ( ) Kiersey and born on 03 February 1881 at Whiting, Monona, IA. She used to remark that her stepson was nearly as old as she was. William was a carpenter and lived in OH, IA, KS and MO. After the birth of their last child, William and Nellie separated and the youngest children were put up for adoption. William died at Forsyth, MO on 14 February 1940. His widow died in Kansas City, MO on 08 February 1942 and both are buried in Dickens.

The only one's still living that i know of is Forest and my self. Forest lives in
centerville, iowa He didn't know who his grandparents were.You were a great help.

My name is Dalah Elijah and I am the granddaughter of Eva Faye Bigelow who was born in Kansas, I do not know the town. One of her brothers, Forest Bigelow, my great uncle, just recently passed away and he lived in Centerville, Iowa. I have tried to access a lot of your links but they seem to be broken. I am very interested to know if you have any information on either one of my family members. I do know that Eva had sisters that were adopted out but I do not know their names. Any information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, My name is Helen Hunt Listerman. My mother was Eva Fay Bigelow Hunt and father Ray Otto Hunt. I received some information from my niece Dalah Elijah that she had been in touch with you concerning family. I copied the information that she sent on the William Henry Bigelow linage and I will have to look up some information from Mom's records but some that I see with just a short look at it has some things wrong. Mom and Dad had eleven children, not nine as it states and Lena the baby sister (mom's) died around l8 months old, not at birth. I will get the information on Forrest of when he passed and burial. I am currently waiting for information from the childrens home in Kansas where some of the Bigelow children was placed. It is now a correctional facility but they still have the records. It is always good to hear from family and find that I have a new cousin out there somewhere. Helen
