Melville J. Bigelow 1844-1930
15146.231     Melville James 8 BIGELOW, son of Nathan 7, ( Irad 6, Nathan 5 ( John 4, John 3, Samuel 2, John 1) , and Elizabeth (WHITE) BIGELOW was born at Jay, Essex, NY on 21 March 1844. He married twice, the first marriage was to Elizabeth Darling on 27 March 1869 and died on 02 November 1891 at Kalamazoo, MI. His second marriage was in November 1892 to Isabella French who was born in Bedford, NH on 21 January 1859. She was the daughter of Phineas and Anna (Fisher) French and died in Kalamazoo on 22 November 1942. Melville had died earlier in Kalamazoo - 28 May 1930. He was a windmill manufacturer. founder and vice-president of Kalamazoo National Bank. He and his two wives are buried in Mountain Home cemetery, Kalamazoo. (see stones)
