15337.124      Harriet Bedelia 8 BIGELOW, dau of Levi 7 ( Noah 6 , Noah 5, Cornelius 4, Samuel 3, Samuel 2, John1)  and Anna (DODGE) BIGELOW, was born 04 January 1824 at Oxford, Chenango co, NY and married 07 January 1845 Joshua Butterfield at Cuyersville, NY.  He was the son of Joseph Butterfield.  Harriet died at Red Oak, IA on 06 March 1876.  No additional data on Joshua.

Dear Bigelow Society,
I am a descendant of Harriet Bedelia Bigelow 1824, who married Joshua Butterfield.  I am interested in the Bigelow Genealogy Volume 2.  But what I am after is to see the sources.  Harriet married Joshua Butterfield, son of Joseph Butterfield. I would like to know where the fathers name "Joseph" that is in that record, is sourced. Is this a bible entry? Will the book tell me the sources of this information? If not, where could I find the source of this information. Our Butterfield part of the tree stops here, and I was making headway on finding some information that might be the right Joseph, and another family swooped in and said that the father was Jesse. I feel she made a leap, but I can not substantiate Joseph either other than to say it is in the Bigelow book..
I would appreciate any guidance you can offer.
