Dear Bigelow Society,
I am a descendant of Harriet Bedelia Bigelow 1824, who married Joshua
Butterfield. I am interested in the Bigelow Genealogy Volume
2. But what I am after is to see the sources. Harriet
married Joshua Butterfield, son of Joseph Butterfield. I would like to
know where the fathers name "Joseph" that is in that record, is
sourced. Is this a bible entry? Will the book tell me the sources of
this information? If not, where could I find the source of this
information. Our Butterfield part of the tree stops here, and I was
making headway on finding some information that might be the right
Joseph, and another family swooped in and said that the father was
Jesse. I feel she made a leap, but I can not substantiate Joseph either
other than to say it is in the Bigelow book..
I would appreciate any guidance you can offer.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Chapdelain
