BIGELOW, was born at Skowhegan (then Bloomfield) Somerset co., ME on
24 September 1846. He married 01 May 1873 Georgiana Friend.
She was born 15 March 1855 Aetna, ME. This family resided in Skowhegan.
He died 20 May 1896 (1889?) He was educated in the public schools of his native town. He learned the trade of ax-making, and
followed it a number of years. For fifteen
years he was a clerk in the United
States railway mail service, on the route
from Portland to Bangor, Portland to Skowhegan, and from
Farmington, Maine to Rangeley, and held this position at the time of his death. He
was a Republican in politics.
