Asahel (or Ashbel) Freeman 7 BIGELOW


16313.31      Asahel (or Ashbel) Freeman 7 BIGELOW, son of Timothy 6 (Amasa 5 , David 4 , Lt. John 3 , Joshua 2, John 1), and Elizabeth (ARNOLD) BIGELOW, was born at Brookfield, Orange, VT on 07 May 1785. He married at Williamstown, VT on 28 September 1808 Almeda Hurlburt. They lived in Williamstown many years and she died there at unknown date. In 1850 census, we learn he was living there and was 65 and that he was recently married to a Mrs. Charlotte Beckwith, age 51 - born in NH -and was raising her two youngest children. Asahel's widowed daughter, (Polly), and her son were also living in the household. We have no record of him after this date. He possibly died in IL.

16313.314t    Asahel Arnold, b 08 Feb 1814; d______ IL; m 24 Feb 1840 Adeline (Bixby) Bigelow; 4 children. (see below)

16313.315     Elizabeth, b 0l June 1816.

16313.316     Horace M., b 1818.

Asahel A. Bigelow - Adaline Sophronia Bixby -VT

Seeking this couple and their children. Adaline was born 12/28/1811 in Williamstown, Orange, Vermont. In some records she was shown as Sophronia Adaline and in others at Adaline Sophronia.
