Persis (HARRIS) BIGELOW, was born 28 March 1817 Chatham township,
Argenteuil, Quebec. She married on 22 May 1844 at Ashford, Cattaraugus,
NY Gideon Russell. He was the son of Daniel Russell and born in VT and
Polly (Dorn) Russell also born VT. Gideon was born 02 May 1821 Hamilton
county, NY. This family moved from Quebec and were in IL in 1850; NY in
1855; 1870 and 1880 in MI. Gideon died 10 March 1899 at Eagle, Clinton,
MI. She died on 04 February 1901 also at
Eagle. Both are buried at Eagle.
