Thanks for fixing the links. I was able to get a lot more info.  I am searching for a mysterious Lavinia/Lovina/Lovinia Bigelow who married Homer/Omer Pierce.

I am descended from Elijah Bigelow (#15336.14). His daughter Catherine #15336.147 is my great-whatever grandmother. I have info on her and a few of her siblings.

Catherine Rebecca Bigelow b. 3 Jan 1842, m. Timothy Eastland 9 Sept 1860, d. 20 May 1928. Buried in McKinstry Cem. in Delevan, Catt. Co., NY. (From obit and death certificate)

#15336.144 Amy Adeline (obit says Adelina A.) b 3 Feb 1834, m. D.G. Smith on 3 July 1852 in Hinsdale, Catt. Co., NY, d Oct 1897.

I also have obits for Oscar and Dennis, but without much info. Oscar's obit says "of East Ashford" died Friday, June 6 (no year stated) at age 70 years. According to census records, he was born in 1845, so the dates don't add up.

Dennis's obit doesn't give any info, it just says what a great guy he was. Thanks again for a great web site..........Virginia

Rod,
Thanks for your Bigelow page....... it's wonderful to see so much about my newly discovered ancestors.
I've had a "mystery" on my Mom's side of the family for years searching for parents of my great grandmother, Lovina G. Pierce.  Then finding my grandfather's obit and death certificate, they both declared that her Lovina's maiden name was Bigelow/Biglo.  I still couldn't find her anywhere and even though she died in 1916 in Erie co., NY, her death certificate was elusive to me as well ------ until last week!
Now I find out SHE wasn't a Bigelow - her mother was!   Here is Lovina's death certificate info:
Lovina G. Pierce
died Oct. 31, 1916, Town of Concord, Erie Co., NY
aged 60 years, 4 months, 21 days.
born McKinstry (Cattaraugus Co.), NY
Father: Green Perryman
Mother: Emeline Bigelow

My research with another Bigelow descendent, Virginia Sechrest, has shown that Emeline is the daughter of Rev. Elijah (7) Bigelow  15336.14 (Ebenezer 6 ( Paul 5 , Cornelius 4, Samuel 3, Samuel 2, John 1).

Also, in the book, "History of Cattaraugus Co., NY", by Adams, 1893,Town of Yorkshire, pg. 1123:
"John Perryman came to Yorkshire about 1834.  His son, A. Perryman came at the same time and settled on the farm now owned by A. Phinney. He died in South Wales, Erie Co.  He married Elizabeth Holloway and had seven children, of whom only one is living in town:  Green PERRYMAN, who married Emeline BIGELOW.  The latter enlisted in Co. K., 105th NY Vols., and served three years.  He was wounded at the battle near Petersburg and was in most all the engagements of the regiment. His children living are: Lovina, Adda.

The 1860 census (Yorkshire, Cattaraugus Co., NY) shows children of Green Perryman and Emeline BIGELOW Perryman: Lovina 4 years old., Emma one month old.

The 1870 census (Yorkshire, Cattaraugus Co., NY) shows their children: Lovina 14 yrs., and Ellen one year old.

I hope this helps in your search for Bigelow's.
