Andrew ⁸ BIGELOW

15336.574 Andrew ⁸ BIGELOW, son of George ⁷ ( Cornelius ⁶ , Paul ⁵, Cornelius ⁴, Samuel ³, Samuel ², John¹) and Margaret (KERR/CARR) BIGELOW, was born at Chatham township, Argenteuil, Quebec about 1838. Owing to the
missing 1851 census of that township, the first record we have of Andrew is in 1861 when he appears as single and age 23. Within a year of so later and before 1865, he married anna Jane McGurn of Buckingham, Quebec and one child was baptized there in 1865. A nephew of andrew stated that "he was a man of red hair and about 1890, or so, he had neither wife or family and that he died of smallpox in late 1890's at Blind River, Quebec". We have no proof of these facts except for the census of 1861 and baptism record.

15336.5741 Margaret Janes, b 11 July 1865 Buckingham and baptized St. Stephen's church; no further record.

There were probably other children
