She married first Edward John Kurtz on 12 Dec 1936 in Los Angeles, CA. He died 14 August 1996 in Geary, Blaine co, OK. Myrtle married second 23 July 1965 Leroy Logan Ashcraft in Redding, Shasta co, CA. He was born 01 July 1895 in Decatur, Kansas, and died 30 December 1972 Shasta County, CA. Leroy's First wife, Emma Hurd, died 15 April 1950 in Douglas County, Oregon. LDS plural marriages appear as he married Inga Emmaline (   ) in 1922. Myrtle died 26 Dec 2005 (aged 89)

Myrtle Bigelow Kurtz Ashcraft Obituary:
Myrtle Bigelow Kurtz Ashcraft, 89, was born on December 12, 1916, in Pearce, Arizona, to John Arty Bigelow and Myrtle Kaneaster Bigelow. She passed away on December 26, 2005, in Eureka, California.
Myrtle is survived by her sons, Ralph E. Kurtz and wife Lorraine of Cedar City, UT, Joseph A. Kurtz and wife Doreen of Eureka, CA, Phillip J. Kurtz of Eureka, CA; daughters, Audrey Kurtz Sedigh Duffy and husband David of Flushing, NY, Marian Kurtz Bohumil and husband Carl of Clinton, MO, Kathleen Kurtz Timmons Gullixson of Eureka, CA; granddaughters, Amy Kurtz Kauffman of Elko, NE, Jill Kurtz Wilson of Cedar City, UT, Peri Sedigh and Shannon Sedigh of Sanford, FL, Lesley Kurtz and Jovonnie Kurtz of Sacramento, CA, Nora-Marie Bohumil of Clinton, MO; grandsons, Monte Kurtz of Elko, NE, Kelly Timmons of Eureka, CA; six great granddaughters; seven great grandsons; sisters, Gertrude Cluff, Hazel Stockwell; and a brother, Wilford Bigelow.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents, John Arty Bigelow and Myrtle Kaneaster Bigelow; husband of 24 years, Edward John Kurtz and husband of ten years, LeRoy Logan Ashcraft; brothers, Alma Bigelow, Harold Bigelow and Ralph Bigelow; sisters, Ethyl Hensley and Thora Clayton; and a grandson, Edward Phillip Kurtz.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sheila Foster for her tender loving care.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2806 Dolbeer Road, Eureka, CA, on Thursday, December 29, 2005, at 5p.m. Burial will be held at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding on Friday, December 30, 2005, at 12 Noon.
