Kenneth W. Cluff
Obituary:
We wish to express our gratitude and love for our Husband, Father,
Grandpa and friend, Kenneth W Cluff, who passed away quietly
Tuesday morning with his eternal companion at his side.
Ken was born in a small town in Duchesne County, to George Paul
Cluff and Nellie May Powell Cluff, yet his wandering spirit and
feet carried him many places during his lifetime. He grew up
primarily in Salt Lake City, always enjoying the mountains and
canyons that surround this great valley. He served a full time
mission in the Hawaiian Islands, where he shared many fond
memories of his service there. Later he was called to serve his
Country during World War 11 in the Army Air Corps. Being stationed
at the Air Base in Fort Douglas Arizona he soon met a beautiful
brown eyed girl Gertrude Bigelow, who he took to the Mesa Arizona
Temple to become his eternal companion on January 21, 1946. They
shared a wonderful life together for 62 years, and were blessed
with three surviving children. Steven Lee Cluff (of Evanston
Wyoming) Kathryn Eileen Nichols, (of Salt Lake City) Benjamin W
Cluff (and Tonya Farr Cluff, of Payson Utah). Ken and Trudy are
blessed with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who
will miss their Grandpa's laughter, teases and hugs. Ken and Trudy
also served a couples mission to Winnipeg Canada, as well as
numerous church and civic callings during his lifetime. We are
ever grateful in our family for the example of unconditional love
and support, finding joy and laughter and sacrifice for others
that Dad has been.
A Viewing for Ken will be held Friday, June 6th at the Mt. View
9th Ward Chapel, 1128 East 100 North, Payson, Utah, 9:00-11:45
a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 Noon.
Burial will take place at the Payson City Cemetery with Military
Rites accorded by the American Legion, Dist. #4.
