He married on 28 Nov 1900 Isa Mae Tremaine. She was born 13 April 1878 (see below) and died 08 October 1914. He married (2) on 20 March 1917 Lulu Fern Tremaine (she was stepdaughter). She was born 28 February 1894, dau of Isa Mae Tremaine and unknown. She died ca 10 November 1983. Fred had died 27 December 1924 West Union, IA. Burial of Isa found in Country Corner cemetery, IA by Jack Aldrich: "Isa M. Bigelow, wife of F.E. Bigelow, 4-13-78 to 10-8-14." Fred married 28 Nov 1900 Isa Mae Tremaine who died 08 Oct 1914 and (2) he married 20 mar 1917 Lulu Fern Tremaine; possibly 3 children died in infancy prior to 1910. Twins were born 1910 (1 still living) 18 Apr 2001, and a daughter born 1912 died 1937. By 2nd marriage to Lulu, 5 children were born and one of them died in infancy.
