16164.41B1    Frank E. 9 BIGELOW, son of Ira 8 ( Edmund Clark 7 , Jonathan Oakes 6 Nathan 5 , John 4 , Joshua 3, Joshua 2, John 1), and Mary (WHITNEY) BIGELOW, was born 25 March 1867.  He died 03 February 1951 in Essex, New York and is buried in the Old Burt Cemetery, Essex co, New York.  He was a farmer.  He married  21 January 1890  to Cora Dell Adsit who was born 1867 and died 28 February 1947 (aged 80).  Three children known.

ESSEX — Robert P. Bigelow, 90, of Essex, died at home Saturday,  July 17, 2010,  with his family in attendance and under the care of Hospice.
Born May 8, 1920, he was the son of Ralph and Doris Palmer Bigelow.
He graduated from Essex High School in 1939 and worked on the family farm in Boquet until he entered the U.S. Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged four years later. He worked at various jobs and retired from the New York State Department of Transportation in 1982 when he and his wife retired to Florida where he made many friends while working as a nuclear department transporter at Florida Medical Center. In 1989, they missed the Adirondacks and moved back to Willsboro. Bobby married Arlene Meier Reithel in 1969.
All his active life, Bobby enjoyed lawn mowing and vegetable gardening and sharing his vegetables with friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, card playing and camping and was a former member of the Boquet Valley Sno-Drifters and the Timberland Traveliers as well as the Republican Grassroots Club, the Willsboro Fire Department and, until his illness, was an active member of the Willsboro Congregational United Church of Christ and Iroquois Masonic Lodge No. 715.
He leaves his wife, Arlene, of Willsboro, son Robert W. Bigelow (Lynda) of Peru, loving stepchildren Scott Reithel (Hanna) of Midlothian, Va., Wendy Reithel Sayward of Willsboro, Drew Reithel (Ramelie of Willsboro, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as his sister , Phyllis Bancroft (Philip) of Apopka, Fla. He also leaves his beloved pets, Heidi and Lily Belle. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Herman (Bud) Bigelow and Donald (Red) Bigelow.
At Bobby's request, there will be no calling hours. The family will bury his ashes in a private ceremony at their convenience. Because of Bob's love of animals, memorial donations may be sent to the North Country ASPCA in Westport.

Herman V. Bigelow
Willsboro — Herman V. "Bud" Bigelow, 79, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Boquet, N.Y., on Dec. 18, 1922, the son of Ralph and Doris (Palmer) Bigelow.
Mr. Bigelow was a member of the Willsboro United Methodist Church and the Keeseville BPOE 2072.

Bud was a self employed farmer and logger. He loved the outdoors, where he did a lot of hunting, fishing, trapping and water-skiing. He and his wife of 57 years also loved to dance to the music of LoneStar (Serge Bouchard).
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Palmer); a son, Ronald Vincent Bigelow of Whallonsburgh and a son and his wife, Phillip Brian and Connie Bigelow of Cumberland Head; a daughter, Gaylen Melton of Lewis; grandchildren, Mike and his wife, Wanda Bigelow of Willsboro, Mark Bigelow of Whallonsburgh and Andrew and Jennifer Melton of Lewis; brothers, Robert and his wife, Arleen Bigelow of Willsboro and Donald "Red" and his wife, Fae of Whallonsburgh; sister and her husband, Phyllis and Philip Bancroft of Apopka, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Adelaide Pierce of Elizabethtown and Ethel Doyle of Willsboro; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins; and a close friend and pinochle partner, Tony Glebus and the "Diner Crew."
Calling hours will be held Wednesday Feb. 20, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Huestis Funeral Home in Willsboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday Feb. 21, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Willsboro United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial donations in his memory may be made to either the Willsboro Rescue Squad or the Willsboro United Methodist Church.
On Ira's family, his grandson Herman (on the second page) you state

Donald Bigelow ESSEX, N.Y. -- Donald "Red" Bigelow, 81, of Essex, passed away peacefully with his family by his side in his home on Feb. 7, 2008.

Red was born in Essex on July 8, 1926, son of the late Ralph and Doris (Palmer) Bigelow. On Nov. 19, 1957, he married Fae Pierce of Whallonsburg. He was a lifetime dairy farmer who enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, driving his tractor and puttering with firewood brought enjoyment to his life. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Red was a kind, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly.

Red is survived by his wife of 50 years, Fae Pierce; children, Greg Bigelow and his companion Janice of Willsboro, Stacey (Rodney) Lobdell of Willsboro, Frank (Tina) Bigelow of Lewis, Mary (Bryan) Garvey of Essex, Donald Jr. and his companion Marvia of Essex, Keith (Tammy) Bigelow of Willsboro, Marvin and his companion Martha of Essex and Dale (Jennifer) Bigelow of Willsboro; one brother, Robert (Arlene) Bigelow of Willsboro; one sister, Phyllis (Phillip) Bancroft of Apopka, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Catherine Bigelow. He is survived by 17 grandchildren: Sara and Kristy Lobdell, Kevin (Becky), Kenny, Christopher and Kyle Bigelow, Lindsay and Joshua Garvey, Danielle (Chris) Bikowitz, Donald III Bigelow, Jordan and Jeffrey Bigelow and Taylor, Trina and Trevor Bigelow.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Doris; a son, Donald Allan; parents-in-law, Floyd and Adelaide Pierce; a brother, Herman (Bud) Bigelow; brothers-in-law, Leamon Moran and Nig Colburn; and sister-in-law, Marlene Pierce.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law.

Calling hours will be Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Willsboro United Methodist Church with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to High Peaks Hospice, 4314 Main St., Port Henry, NY 12974 or the Essex Ambulance Squad, Essex, N.Y. 12936.

PLATTSBURGH — Connie Bigelow 58, of Firehouse Lane in Plattsburgh died Wednesday June 27, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Passaic, N.J. on March 16, 1954, daughter of the late Samuel and Marie (Gerbino) Melton.
     Connie owned and operated the Bread and Butter Bakery in Essex from 1995 to 1998. She was a foster parent to many children for over 25 years. Connie was working toward a counseling degree when she took ill. She was a skilled seamstress and an excellent cook. Connie was a dedicated wife, foster mother, sister, aunt and friend.
     Connie is survived by her husband, Phillip Bigelow whom she married May 15, 1976, in Lewis, N.Y.; two sisters, Barbara Ingallinera and her husband Salvatore of Newton, N.J., Gladys Marie Melton and her companion Christy of Portland, Ore.; two brothers Samuel E. Melton Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Vancouver, Wash., Michael L. Melton and his companion Beth Flora of Lewis; her mother- in -law Catherine Bigelow of Willsboro; a brother-in-law Ronald Bigelow of Essex; a sister- in-law Gaylen Melton of Plattsburgh; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her special friend Colleen Corrice of Mooers Forks.
Family will be receiving guests 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs. July 5, 2012, at the Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court Street, Plattsburgh . A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday July 6, 2012, in the Lewis Cemetery.
Donations in Connie's Memory may be made to The Foundation at CVPH Medical Center.

Connie and Phillip Bigelow attended The Bigelow Society Reunion in Plattsburgh, NY in 2008.
