William H. 8 BIGELOW

15577.621      William H. 8 BIGELOW, son of  Charles J. 7 ( Charles 6  , Samuel 5, Jacob 4, Thomas 3, Samuel 2, John 1)  and Augusta (MORGAN) BIGELOW, was born at Petersham, MA 29 November 1846. When very young, his parents moved to Somonauk, IL where they resided until February 1864.  At that time, he enlisted as a member of Co. K., 8th Regt., IL Cavalry and served until 17 July 1865.  A few years later, he moved to Galesburg, IL and was with the C., B. & Q. RR.  In January 1882 he became a bookkeeper for the First National Bank.  His marriage was to Mary E. Raymond, daughter of D. C. Raymond of Galesburg.  He died 22 April 1889.

Was just looking at your fine Bigelow website, and couldn't get
bigelow.simplenet.com/rod/Wil87621.htm   My intention was to trace down from William H 1846-1889.
I have no direct connection to BIGELOW, but, I am connected to the parents of Elizabeth WALKER who m. Charles(6) Bigelow. I do have interesting WALKER data
to share if anyone is interested.
