Orvis Furman 8 BIGELOW

15326.325    Orvis Furman 8 BIGELOW, son of  Barna 7 (Silas 6 , Solomon 5 , Samuel 4, Samuel 3, Samuel 2, John 1) and Elizabeth (BOYNTON) BIGELOW, was born at Weathersfield, VT on 0l September 1835. On 08 July 1863 he married Mary Helen Pingry (daughter of a Vermont judge.  The family spells the name "Pingry." not Pingree). She was born at Waitsfield, VT on 15 May 1837. They resided a few years in Brandon, VT and then moved to Amherst, MA where he was a very successful physician. He died in Amherst on 02 February 1899.

I just checked the Orvis Furman Bigelow webpage and noticed some
corrections and additions for you.

1.  Pingree is commonly spelled "Pingry," as noted.  Pingry was
Orvis's wife's family name, and she was the daughter of a Vermont judge.  The
family spells the name "Pingry."

2.  The fifth child is definitely NOT Fred Clark Bigelow, as you have
surmised, unfortunately for Pat Reed, but Fred Carlton Bigelow.

3.  The full names of the Bigelow children are:
Jessie Elizabeth
William Pingry
Frank Barna
Lucy May
Fred Carlton
Edward Rutheford

I am looking for info on Mary Bigelow born in 1677.  She married David Bruce, then she married Thomas Read. Their children were Nathaniel, Issac, Thomas, and Catherine Read.....My husband is decended from Thomas...and I am decended from David Bruce's father Thomas .
I am also looking for info on my grandfather Elmer Bigelow, 4-18-1892 to 11-20-1962, son of Fred Clark Bigelow and Myra Perlinda Sweet.......he had 2 brothers, Aram and Milford....they all lived in Mass...any info on any ascendants or descendants of any of these would be much appreciated.
