Portland, Chautauqua, NY on 20 December 1853. Her marriage took place at
Whitewater, MN on 10 January 1884 to Melvin H. Skidmore. Family records
state he was born in Norway, but offer no proof, on 31 March 1851. In the
1890's they were living in a log cabin about 1 1/2 miles north of Elba,
MN. Nellie died at Williston, Williams, ND on 08 Aug 1935 and her widower
on 30 June 1937 at Williston.
