My name is Jessica. Mary Sophia and Alexander Lourie are my 4^th great-grandparents. I do have a little info on them and my father has quite a bit on their descendents and the Lourie family. I would be happy to share the little I know. One interesting fact is that their son, Herbert Mattoon Lourie (my 3^rd great-grandfather) was given the name Mattoon after the husband of Alexander’s sister. His name was Steven Mattoon. Steven Mattoon was mentioned in the book Anna and the King along with his wife Mary. He was a Reverend and they were the first to introduce Christianity to Siam. When they returned to the US, the helped found schools that still exist today. From what I gather, Alexander and Mary Sophia were close with the Mattoon’s. I have came across other bits if you are interested.
I would really love if you could share info on the Bigelow family. I really don’t have much. I am new to genealogy.
