He married 30 April 1896, Hudson, MA, Flavilla Emerline Goding, daughter of David Goding and Elizabeth Ludgate. She was born 1875 in Stow, MA and died 27 October 1955 in Harvard, MA. John died 13 February 1938 Harvard. Both John and Flavilla are buried in Bellevue Cemetery, Harvard, MA, Sec E, Lot 1. Note: Goding is sometimes spelled Godding, but Goding is preferred.
