Seeking birth date and parentage of James E. Bigelow, died 05 October 1871,
perhaps Englewood, New Jersey, married, as
her first husband, 23 June 1870, at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York on 23
June 1870, Mary "Minnie" Emma Duryee, born 28 November 1843, died Englewood,
New Jersey on 27 February 1938. One child is found:
Mabel Edwards Bigelow, born 17 March 1871, in Brooklyn, died 15 August 1872.
(Mary Emma Duryee married second George S. Coe.) My many thanks, Richard
Mary Duryee, wife of James 8 Bigelow, was the daughter
of:
Peter Duryee, born 19 November 1812 (and perhaps baptized on the same day
as Harold Taylor Duryee cites this date for
that event),* died 14 November 1870, married in New York City on 10 May 1840
to Mary Serena Atwood, born 21 April
1812, apparently in Newburyport, Massachusetts, died at Englewood, New Jersey
on 09 December 1901, aged 91
[OB:226]**, daughter of John Atwood and Aphia Pillsbury. Their marriage is
noted in the 16 May 1840 edition of The New
Yorker.***
