EVANS ) BIGELOW, was born at New Haven, Gratiot, MI on 20 August
1896. When he was 12 years of age, his mother moved to NE taking the
youngest children with
her. They later moved to CO where Floyd married on 26 March 1922 in
Weld
county. Her name was Martha Hazel Fortune. She was the daughter of
Kilburn and Susannah (Pixler)
Fortune and born 08 May 1904. They farmed for Floyd's brother Charles
for a time, then Floyd drove a truck until back trouble intervened.
This was near Cheyenne, WY (where L.B. Sweet was living). They returned
to CO and later to WA where he was employed in the fruit orchards and a
paper towel mill, during WWII. Hazel died on 15 October 1959 and Floyd
on 07 September 1969, both at
Grandview, WA.

grandfather's name was Charlie Arthur Bigelow. His father was (John)??.
His mother's name was Amelia Evans.

families aka cousins . I am sure glad to finally find a source for
laying it down other than my note books and childerns ears .
Mom is now living in the Bremerton Rest Home just over the Bridge in
Bremerton , Washington . She dont get a lot of visits
but family is always writing her . I have had a few more childern so
for those out there that keep the records straight we need
to write so contact me please at home PO Box 98777 , Des Moines , WA
98198 and any others that would like to keep the
ink flowing . I do check the libary net every once in awhile but there
is nothing like getting a good old fashion letter in the mail
every now and then . All net surfers need to see that part of history
is falling away too!! So pull out the pen and write . thanks

Dear Rod ,
I am sorry I was not even finished with the email that you had gotten
yesterday. I need to add a date of death. My mother Gladys Irene
Bigelow Daughter of Floyd and Martha Hazel Bigelow passed away
May 24 at 7:15 PM She would want me to let her family know I am sorry
that she had to go as she did but at 74 I am sure she was all ready
from all that she had done in all her life. Her brother my uncle Fred
is still living in the grandview nursing home in Grandveiw Wash still
to day and he is the only one left of the four childern that they had.
I did get to sya bye to her as well as the other two childeren she
had Leslie Ervin Harris and Kenneth James Ball . and god
had
given me the vision of the other side and how she was going to be so
much
better there than here ...this vision came before she passed the same
day
in 7th hour AM while she passed in the 7th hour in the PM . I was
thinking she was going to get better . well I am sure you will be sad
to hear of this news but willing to make sure it gets where it needs to
be. Thank you so very
