( Brazil) BIGELOW, was born in 1861 Illinois. He married May
Tower on June 16, 1890 at Lincoln, Nebraska. He held a Ph.D. in
Education. Dr May Tower, his wife was born 13 April 1866 Saratoga,
Winona County, MN. She was the dau of Myron and Lucretia (Maynard)
Tower. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska in 1889, and
a well known physician and social worker in Denver, Colorado. She
died 27 Oct 1935 (aged 69) in Denver, Co, and buried in Omaha.
Omaha World Herald, Saturday, March 21, 1942:
"Dr. C. W. Bigelow, 88, retired Denver High School principal and a
former superintendent of schools in at Beatrice and Madison, Neb.,
died 18 March 1942 (aged 80–81) at Chaco, Cal., while visiting a
cousin. He was an educator and electrician with Myron, his
brother.
Survivors include a son, Lt. Col. Maurice Bigelow, in the army;
daughter, Mrs. Ruth Richardson of Castle Rock, Colo.; brother, Anson
H. Bigelow of Omaha.
Burial will be in Omaha beside his wife."
