Reynolds 7 and Harriet (DARLING) BIGELOW

159B3.19       Reynolds 7 BIGELOW, son of  David 6 ( Bond 5 , Elisha 4, Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John1)  and  Anna (CONE) BIGELOW, was born at Sardinia, Erie, NY on 5 (15?) May 1822 and (according to one source: Reynolds died January 1899 at Hastings, Nebraska). His wife was Harriet Darling and they married in 1847. We have no additional data on either, except: (see below)

        I have some good news and some bad news for the Reynolds Bigelow side of the family.
The good news is that I am just about done with the Bigelow side of my family tree. The bad
news is that my paper work is a mess right now. If the Bigelow Society would give me the
pleasure of letting me update your records I would be very honored. I have been looking into
my family history for about 6 years now and it's been a very hard road to back track on. When
I am done I will be showing the family tree to my grandfather who is Reynolds Bigelow  great
grandson.
        Also I wrote you awhile back about changing my email address on your web site. Please
let me know if you get this email. I will put the old and new email at the end of this email.

 I am looking into my family history and I was wondering if you could help me. My great grandma's name was Harriet Bigelow born 12/23/1882 died 11/18/1971. She married Thornton Pickenpaugh Shively on 5/1906. He was born 2/1869 and died
in 1949. Harriet had a sister named Grace and their father had a sister name Nel Alhizer Bigelow. I have a family album with very old picture's here is a list of all the Bigelow's in it and if you recognize any of these names will you please let me know. I would really appreciate any help that you could give me.

Under Mr. & Mrs. Reynolds Bigelow (At the bottom) it says Harriet (something). I only knew her name from your
site but now I know that is her name.

Boniface, e-mail: dbony@pdq.net(email invalid 10/17/2000), stated Reynolds died January 1899 at Hastings, Nebraska.  Also that Reynolds had two (2) sons born at East Aurora, Erie co., NY.  David Russell Bigelow b. 23 June 1848; d 16 June 1916 at Hastings, Adams co., NE; and Charles B. Bigelow, of whom I have no data, he moved with his family to Illinois in 1864.  The family moved in 1872 to Juniata, Adams co., NE where they homesteaded.  Both David and Charles were outstanding citizens of Adams co., NE.  both of them were elected as co. clerk of Adams co., NE.  The Historical Society of Adams Co., NE has a great deal of information he said he needed to acquire.

David Russell Bigelow married Ella Drake, b. 3 Jan 1857 at Mercer co., PA. Ella died Dec. 2, 1943 at Humbolt NE.  They were married 18 Sep 1872 at Juniata, Adams co., NE and had 5 children: (1) Sattie J. Bigelow (f) b. abt 1876 Juniata, NE:  d. 1947 in Whittier, CA married Ed Watkins (no data) a newspaper editor and had 3 children:  Girl, Gilbert and William.  (2)Beatta Bigelow, b. 19 Feb 1892 at Juniata, NE d. Feb 1968 at Table Rock, NE, married Guy Bonhyam (no data) had 2 ch:  Dwight David and Shirley. (3) Roy D. Bigelow b. 17 Aug 1881 Juniata, NE, d. 12 Apr 1962 at Salem, Marion co., OR; m.Ms.Smith, no further data.  They had at least 1 dau., 6 grch., and 3 gr.grandchildren--from Obituary).  (4)Charles Bigelow b. abt. 1833 at Juniata, Adams co., NE.  No other information available.  (5) Jesse Lynn Bigelow, b. 7 Oct 1898 at Hastings, Adams co., NE, d. Jun 1983 at Spring, Harris co., TX.  Married Howard Edson Bohannon, b. 1 May 1898, Omaha, NE, d.
Aug 1979 at Houston, Harris co., TX.  They were married 17 Jun 1921 Omaha, NE and had dau. Barbara Ellyn Bohannon, b. 5 Aug 1924 at North Hollywood, CA. Barbara married Robert Olmstead Ayres b. 3 Oct 1920 Houston TX; d. 25 Dec 1994
Houston, TX.  they had three children:  Timothy Robert Ayres; b. 2 Jan 1945 at Los Angeles, CA; David Edson Ayres, b. 2 Dec 1948 and Cynthia Ayres b. 22 Jan 1957.  Timothy Ayres married my daughter Sharon Denise Boniface 26 Oct 1974 at Clear Lake, Harris co., TX and have 2 daus.
