(PAYNE) BIGELOW, was bom 10 November 1863 in Oakland County,
MI near Holly. He received his education in the district school
and at the age of 18 moved to Stanton, MI to work in the lumber
mills. He took up the trade of printer in Stanton and after three
years in the trade, sold fruit trees for a season. In 1886 he
moved to Morrice, MI and established the newspaper: The
Morrice Sentinel which later became The Morrice Tribune.
On 22 October 1883 he married Mary A. House, the dau of Francis
and Mary House. She was born in 02 March 1856 at Bennington
township, Shiawassee, MI., and died 03 February 1935 Sheldon,
O'Brien County, IA. Charles married 1917 Mollie (Marquette)
Colvin. She was previously married in 1901 to Frank B. Colvin (he
died in 1909). She was born 09 March 1878 in Germany and died in
June 1980 at Lansing, MI at age 102. Charles died 27 June 1933
Shiawassee Co., MI. There was a divorce of Charles and Mary House.

1889 in MI to Fredrick Shier who was b. 1867 in MI and Mary Sheets
