15924.55 Chauncey 7 BIGELOW son of Timothy 6 ( Timothy 5 , Isaac 4 , Isaac 3, Samuel2, John l) and Sally (STREETER) BIGELOW, was born at Manchester, Ontario co, NY on 15 September 1813. He early became an Indian trader in the western part of NY, near Buffalo, and married Laura Curtis 16 May 1837 at Gowanda, Erie, NY. She was born on 16 May 1822. When the Indians moved farther west, he moved to Fon du Lac, WI where he continued trading with the Indians and was very successful in the business. In 1888, he was engaged in the mercantile business at New Hampton, Chickasaw, IA. Laura died there on 27 December 1888 and he on 25 September 1893.

Thanks a lot for your work. Ever since I did a genealogy project
in HS 28 yrs ago I've found this stuff interesting. Although I've had
a lot of information your pages add a lot! I did have problems with the search
function but then working on my own I found most of the information I wanted.
