64) in Fort Jennings, OH. Dorothy died 28 January 1992 (aged 85)

Dorothy E. Horstman, 85,
Delphos, died at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 1992, at Lima
Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 12, 1906, in Ottoville to William A. and
Josephine (Sanders) Bigelow. Dorothy married Edward F. Horstman on
June 24, 1924, in Ottoville, and he died on May 4, 1955.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Richard (Denelda) Brokamp,
Ft. Jennings, Mrs. Paul (Rita) Hemker, Delphos, Delores Meeker,
Lima, Mrs. Robert (Euletta) Von Sossanm, Ft. Jennings, and Mrs.
George (Agatha) Kerns, Ft. Jennings; one sons, Gerald E. Horstman,
Delphos; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; three sisters,
Mrs. Vera Wieging, Ft. Jennings, Frances Kiefer, Swanton, and Mrs.
Howard (Irene) Spencer, Ottoville.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Carl and Harold Horstman;
one granddaughter; one grandson-in-law; five brothers, Joseph
Sanders, and Ralph, William, Walter, and Hilary Bigelow; and two
sisters, Esther Metzger, and Margareta Bigelow.
Mrs. Horstman was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph’s
Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings. She was also a member of Ft.
Jennings alter Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the
Sacred Heart League.
Mass if Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St.
Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings. Rev. John Shanahan will
officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (today) and 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Siferd Funeral
Home, Delphos. There will be a parish wake service at 8:15 p.m.
