Clarence Almon Bigelow, 74, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at
the Beehive Home in Eagar. He was born June 1, 1934, in Eagar to
Joseph Almon Bigelow and Dorthella May Dillard. Clarence served as
Apache County manager from 1983-2002. He was a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as bishop
in Kingman. He was a member of the Apache County Posse and a key
lobbyist for rural Arizona counties. Clarence is survived by his
wife, Barbara Bigelow; son Jared (Linda) Bigelow; daughters
Kimberly (Shane) Penrod, Lori (Quentin) Heiner, Valerie Covey and
Christine (Levi) Howard; 16 grandchildren; brothers Clinton
Bigelow and Joe LaMar Bigelow; and sister Loydene Roylance. He was
preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 27, at the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity Building, with a viewing
one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested
donations be made to the Northern Arizona Alzheimer's Association

Barbara "Bobbie" Van Bigelow, 72, died Jan. 29, 2013, at her home
in Eagar. She was born April 6, 1940, in Port St. Joe, Fla., the
daughter of Ottis and Mamie Adams Walters.
Bobbie worked as an elementary teacher for the Round Valley School
District and retired in 2005. She was an avid reader; learning was
her passion. She gained her Master's Degree in Education from ASU
after having five children.
Bobbie is survived by her son, Jared A. (Linda) Bigelow;
daughters: Kimberly K. (Shane) Penrod, Lori L. (Quentin) Heiner,
Valerie (Aaron) Covey and Christine (Levi) Howard; brother James
"Butch" Walters; sister Bonnie Turner and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Bigelow in 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the
Amity Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
in Eagar, with a viewing held one hour prior to services.
Interment will follow at the Eagar Cemetery.
