Dear Rod,
I was poking around the Web, checking up on a family history that my grandfather
created in the 1930s, which traces our family back to John Biglo, America's
first Bigelow, as you so well document in the Bigelow site.
My great great grandfather was Ephraim Hathaway Washburn (http://bigelowsociety.com/rod/sus76627.htm,
who was the husband of Susan Wilkins Bigelow.
We have at home a portrait of Ephraim, painted in about 1832, when he was
the editor of the Middlebury VT Gazette (according to family oral history).
Thank you for the great work you are doing preserving these great parts of
American History!
