Sarah ⁶ BIGELOW

16359.2    Sarah or Sally ⁶ BIGELOW, dau of Asa ⁵ ( Asa ⁴,Lieutenant John ³, Joshua²,John ¹) and Lydia (NEWTON) BIGELOW, was born 8 May 1787 at Colchester, New London co, CT. She married, on 27 November 1823, the Rev. Jared Reid. He was born 29 February 1788. Her death, recorded at Colchester, states "died 11 February 1854, of Rhode Island."

Only known child of Jared and Sarah (Bigelow) Reid:

16359.31    Jared Reid, b 12 Nov 1824; m Louisa Dwight.

 I recently inherited something titled "Caroline of Litchfield" that appears to be a framed silk  embroidery sewed by Sally Bigelow of Colchester, February 7, 1804. I am trying to research the origins of the piece. Is Sally Bigelow a descendent of your line of Bigelows?
It is a beautiful rendering that has been well preserved. I may be
interested in selling the piece as well.
