# 1296. Josiah 4, son of Joseph 3 ( Jonathan
2, John 1) BIGELOW
and Sarah (SPENCER) BIGELOW, was born 03 January 1726 at Hartford, Hartford
co, CT. He was married about 1753 to Elizabeth WELLS, daughter of John and
Mary (CURTIS) WELLS. She was born 07 November 1724 in Hartford.
Josiah died 16 May 1754. His will mentions his
wife and possible child; 18 months later his widow was appointed guardian
of child Mary, age 15 months. She later married (2) John BENTON, and died
21 December 1819.
Only child of Josiah and Mary (WELLS) BIGELOW:
12961t Mary, b 03 June 1754 Hartford, CT; d there 23 Apr 1822; m 29 Sept 1774 Elisha DODD; 6 children.
