Jonathan 4 BIGELOW

  1621   Jonathan 4 Bigelow, son of Jonathan 3 ( Joshua 2, Johnl) and Elizabeth (BEMIS) BIGELOW, was born 11 January 1707 in Watertown, Middlesex county, MA. He was married 14 June 1730 at Weston to Mary SNOW, dau of James and Mary (  ) Snow "of Lancaster." She was baptized there 15 January 1710. On 15 July 1751 Jonathan and wife Mary sold a tract of land to John Farwell of Harvard, and they were also of Harvard. Records of their children and grandchildren appear in Harvard, Littleton, Lancaster, Bolton, and Groton. Both died before 1761 Rockingham, VT, where he was one of the first three settlers.

16212.     Mindwell, b 30 Apr 1735; d 05 June 1813 Groton, MA; m (1) 6 Sep 1750 John FROST, and (2)11 May 1796 Simon GILSON; res Groton. 12 children.

16213.     Miriam, b 10 Oct 1737; d young.

16214.     Jonathan, b 01 May 1739; may be the same who d 1799 Ipswich, NH "in a well".

16215.     Aaron, b 29 Apr 1741; no death date; m 07 Feb 1781 (at Groton) Mrs. Lucy PIERCE, widow. 4 children.

16216.     Miriam, b 03 July 1743; d _____ ; m 17 Feb 1762 (at Groton) Samuel PIERCE.

16217.     Elizabeth, bapt 14 Aug 1743 Lancaster, twin of Miram?, said to be wife of Philllp SAFFORD of Rockingham, VT, but possibly the same who married 31 Aug 1772 at Littleton, Isaac RUSSELL.

16218.     Sarah, church records give bapt 06 Oct 1745, but town records give birth 06 Aug 1746; intention-of-marriage 03 Feb 1776 to Oliver BURT, at Harvard.

16219.     (probably) William, b ca 1749; d 01 Oct 1836 Bolton, MA; m 01 Jan 1772 at Bolton, Hannah ROBBINS. Served in Rev War throughout; listed as living Bolton throughout life; children's records at Groton, Littleton, Harvard, etc. 5 or 6 children.
