15182.C Ivory ⁶ BIGELOW, son of Ivory ⁵( Gershom ⁴, John ³, Samuel ², John ¹) and Sophia ( BANNISTER ) BIGELOW was born 1 Jan 1785 at Marlborough, Middlesex county, MA. He married, on Feb 23 Feb 1809, Susanna Rice, daughter of Gershom and Susanna (Howe) Rice (see below). She was born 5 Dec 1787 at Marlborough. They lived all their lives at Hudson, MA, which had been set off from Marlborough. Ivory died 14 Jan 1847, she on 5 June 1873, both in Hudson.

Rod,
     Having explored your Bigelow Family website, I believe I have something of interest to you and/or some of your members. The internet is a great place..most of the time!!!
     I have a very small handwritten booklet that was done by "Sukey Rice" where she lists Births of her brothers and sisters, Deaths of several Rice and Bigelow relatives, Births of her children and a handwritten prayer. Most likely written in the early 1800s as a teenager or young adult. Size is 3 1/2" x 5 3/4".
     I would like to ensure that this is transferred to the hands of a direct descendant of Susanna Rice Bigelow who will preserve this original source document in their family. She married Ivory (6) Bigelow from what I have found on your website stating the Source as Bigelow Family Genealogy Vol I, page 221-222, family 115182.C
     This booklet was found at an estate in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine a number of years ago and is not of any interest to the local historical society there. If a direct descendent is not found, I will consider donating it to appropriate museum or historical societies in the Marlborough/Hudson, Mass. area which is where this family originated. Do you or any other members of the Bigelow Society have any further information on her descendents??
