He was born 04 January 1821 Peru, Clinton, NY. He married Carrie Henderson. The 1850 census lists his wife as Mary A. ( __ ) Bigelow. m (1) Mary Ann WILKES? ; b circa 1835;who died and was buried in Peru 4 Mar 1851 Age 26 see stone above( There is also a small stone next to Mary Ann; Legend:{Silas Wilkes; son of E.A. and M.A. Bigelow; age 13 mos; date 1850}); m(2) Carrie HENDERSON; res Minneapolis, MN. Mary Ann was listed as wife in 1850 census
