Converse 5 BIGELOW


# 15594.    Converse 5 BIGELOW,  fourth child and third son  of Josiah 4 ( Thomas 3 , Samuel 2, John 1)  and Mary (Harrington) Bigelow, was born 20 Jan 1755 in Waitham, Middlesex county, MA. He was married 8 Oct 1778 at Waltham to Anna Parks. She was born 5 Feb 1756 at Brighton, MA. Converse served throughout the Revolutionary War. After marriage they lived a few years at Templeton, where three children were born, then removed to Sherborn, where they lived the remainder of their lives. He died at Sherborn 23 Apr 1829; she on 9 Sep 1843.
1790 census: MA-Middlesex-Sherborn-Converse Bigelow: 1-4-5-0-0.

  Bigelow, Converse, Weston. Corporal, Capt. Charles Miles's co., Col. Jonathan Reed's regt.; pay abstract for mileage, etc., from Ticonderoga, sworn to Feb.16, 1777; service with Northern army.
  Biglow, Converse, Weston. Private, Capt. Samuel Lamson's co., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775; service, 3 days; also, Capt. Asahel Wheeler's co., Col. John Robinson's regt; marched Feb. 4, 1776; service, 1 mo. 28 days.
